The professional was part of a construction site in Northampton, when she entered a ditch to observe some details.

She herself claims that a co-worker had previously told her that the land could give way, which finally ended up happening.

Piccirilli was left under the rubble for a total of 30 minutes, while the other workers had to use heavy machinery and a backhoe to go to his aid.

Three years later, the woman indicated in an interview that she has recovered after suffering fractures in the ribs on the right side, a collapsed lung and multiple internal bleeding.

“I breathed very, very little. I couldn’t breathe deeply because there was no room for my lungs to expand,” he said in an interview with Western Mass News.

In this sense, Ashley Piccirilli assured that during her rescue she suffered more injuries to her body.

“They fought a lot to get me out of there. I didn’t know it, I broke all my ribs on the right side and I think the left. My lung collapsed, I had internal bleeding,” he explained.

“I don’t remember getting there, but I remember being taken straight to the operating room. “I saw some confusing things and I also remember people running and a doctor telling me I was going to be fine,” she added.

In addition, During the operation he had a cardiac arrest, from which she managed to be revived in time.

“He was bleeding when he arrived. It was very clear that she needed surgery immediately. She was bleeding so much that when we found the spot (where) he was bleeding, we could hear it. It’s called ‘audible bleeding’. That’s why we asked for additional help,” explained Dr. Kristina Kramer, who operated on her at Baystate Medical Center.

It should be noted that his entire recovery process lasted two years, after which he fulfilled his dream of being a pilot at the Barnes Air National Guard Base.
