This Monday, Nicolás Maduro accused the Venezuelan opposition of alleged sabotage of the National Electrical System, in which there are “several material authors detained.”

During the broadcast of his program, he said that the “extremist right” entered a phase of “absolute desperation” due to the new plans they are “preparing” before the July 28 elections. Furthermore, he indicated that if they continue in these steps “they have no chance of success.”

“While one is on a pilgrimage supervising works and approving projects, I have to alert the people. The extremist right has entered a phase of absolute desperation. I know with points, with commas and signs all your intentions. Within that core of the opposition they say that we did not reach July 28 because something is going to happen. If they let themselves go down that path they have no chance of success, on the contrary they will sink even more,” he commented.

Likewise, he asked Jorge Rodríguez to send him said complaint because “they are taking ugly and bad steps.”

“Doctor Jorge Rodríguez, as head of the dialogue, send this complaint to the entire opposition once again. They are on ugly steps, they are on bad steps. They cannot harm us with the economy, because we have the reins in our hands,” he expressed.

Maduro said he has evidence in his hands of the alleged sabotage of the SEN, in “communities where Chavismo wins with 80 and 90% of the votes,” where several material authors were arrested and prosecuted by the Prosecutor’s Office.

“Now they have concentrated very strongly in recent weeks, I have the evidence in my hands, fully verified with videos, preparing an offensive against the electrical system that damages the climate of peace in the country that is starring in the electoral process. They want to harm the communities where Chavismo wins with 80 and 90% of the votes. Several material authors of this electrical attack against the people are captured, imprisoned, prosecuted by the Prosecutor’s Office. I ordered a special plan for patrolling, surveillance and protection of the electrical system facilities,” he said.

He also pointed out that in several places in the country that he has visited during his electoral campaign, “they sabotaged the electrical system” before he arrived.

“I was going to Margarita and they sabotaged the tanks. But they recorded him and he is captured, convicted and confessed. He put a light into the tank and it exploded. Prosecutor Tarek William Saab already has this video. This is called extreme far-right terrorism. Nobody is going to steal our right to peace. There will be peace in Venezuela, before, during and after July 28,” he argued.

“That day rain, shine or shine there will be a democratic party. They are crazy, they want a coup d’état. That is one of the tests, another happened in Calabozo. A group of criminals came out on social networks to claim an explosion at the Calabozo substation, two days before I went. And in Zulia, 24 hours before I went, a transmission tower in Bachaquero exploded. In two hours we replaced it. We’re coming for you, if you eat the light you’re going to regret it for 500 years. We are going to guarantee peace to the people. Also when we went to Caucauga, some women approached me and told me that here we won with 90%, and the squalids are approaching us, they are taking away our light. I sent an investigation and those responsible who are removing the light on trunk 9 have already been identified. Also in Osma, Todosana, La Sabana,” she concluded.
