Belonging to the Vietnam Airlines Group, the company will begin to cover with a fleet of Airbus A321 aircraft the itineraries connecting Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, and Da Nang and Chu Lai, initially with a frequency of six to eight daily flights.

According to airline sources, in the future it is planned to increase links between the southern Vietnamese metropolis and the cities of Thanh Hoa, Vinh, Hue and Tuy Hoa, in the center of the country.

Pacific Airlines, they said, is working not only to recover the flight network it previously had, but also to improve the standards of its service in a comprehensive manner. When announcing the cessation of operations on March 18, when it had to return all its leased aircraft due to financial difficulties, a company spokesperson quoted by the VN Express International news service stated that the airline is “restructuring its fleet and network of routes to increase operational efficiency.”

Pacific Airlines was founded in 1991 as a low-cost airline, but in recent years it has faced numerous challenges.

After making profits in the 2009-2019 fiscal year, the arrival of the Covid-19 pandemic seriously affected its operations, which is why it closed in 2022 with estimated losses of about $85 million.
