DANCE | Pyrenees in dance. International Dance Day. Conference, organized by the Ballet Ibón de Sabiñánigo Cultural Association, which was created with the aim of honoring dance as a universal discipline and coexistence between associations in the Pyrenees.

The day will begin at 12:00 p.m. with Zumba, Bachata and Cuban Rueda workshops, led by the Bailando Sabiñánigo Association, inviting all attendees to dance.

In the afternoon, starting at 6:00 p.m., classical ballet barre, taught by the teacher and former dancer Antonio Almenara. Next, Gema Morado, former dancer of the National Ballet, will read the International Dance Day manifesto written by international dancer Marianella Núñez.

The jota will also be present led by Jairo Périz and Chusa Finestra, in addition to the paloteau of the Danzantes de Sabiñánigo, with their music and popular dances.

It will be followed by an urban dance workshop, led by teacher and dancer Juan Bautiva, and different performances of classical, contemporary, jazz, flamenco and urban dance from the Ibón Ballet School and Espacio Danza de Huesca, with the collaboration of the School. of Ballet de la Ball de Benasque.

The day will conclude with a flashmob in which all attendees will be invited to participate as a tribute to the group Abba, which this year celebrates the 50th anniversary of its Eurovision victory with the song waterloo. And as a closing, the animation of the Dingolondango batucada.

The Ballet Ibón Association shows its gratitude to the collaboration of the different groups and dance schools that participate in the day, as well as to the organizers José Espinosa and María José Ara, and to the City Council of Sabiñánigo, the Alto Gállego Region and the Provincial Council Provincial of Huesca for collaborating and being able to carry out and make this first edition of Pirineo en Danza a reality.
