“A book must be opened
in some air.”
Ida Vitale

A book is a fruit,
a magnet, a light,
the content of a hole,
the branch of a tree,
food of an etheric body.

Books are also silent,
They are also boats that drift,
shadows that protect us from the powerful light of day.

Reading a book is coming back to life,
Don’t let yourself die from boredom and routine,
get out of everyday life to dance in the mist.

With a book you come back and go,
you come back and walk,
It is the earth that holds you and the wind that makes you fly without falling into the void
of an abyss without anyone,
a book is a swallow.

There are clouds, white books, gray ones, hail storms and rain
and books of people, books of poems, books of love,
naked history books.

Books that burn and burn,
but also comforting,
which are ivy, mirror,
voices in the distance that rescue you
and they prevent you from losing your memory.

Any word is a book,
foam, hope, dream,
unease, garden, window,…
only books speak while they are silent,
They are the ones who call towards never.
