Al Faro Zapatista (AFZ) is an initiative that started in 2021 and was presented to mark the 30th anniversary of the beginning of the war against oblivion. In this collection, more than fifty people from Chiapas/Mexico/Abya Yala and Insumisa Europe came together to pay tribute to Zapatismo within the framework of its 30th anniversary. A tribute to Zapatista girls, women, young people, older women, others and men in their more than 500 years of resistance and struggle.

We believe that the 30 pocket books in the collection contribute to understanding why, where and how Zapatismo has been a lighthouse for many, many, many of us and for the alter-globalist, anti-systemic, anti-racist and anti-patriarchal movements of planet Earth. At the same time, the books in this collection provide us with contextual elements to measure the historical depth of Zapatismo and the Journey through Life-Europe Chapter.

With the printing of this collection we join the worldwide dislocated actions of No to War! Yes to life! Yes to a dignified, fair and full life for everyone, above all, for the Zapatista peoples, for the people of Chiapas, of Mexico and of the world.

We hope that this autonomous initiative contributes to the debate on civilizational collapse, ongoing death systems and possible other-worlds. I hope it encourages us to reweave the web of life.

You can PRE-PURCHASE these 30 paperback books that make up the collection now in print on the Bajo Tierra Ediciones website (www.bajotierraediciones.com) and directly at the Volcana Lugar Común Bookstore (Mexico City) and thus contribute to raising funds for the Zapatista communities.
