The Xunta de Galicia is present at the Buenos Aires International Book Fair, which is celebrating its 48th edition since last April 25, in which it participates with twenty activities and with its own exhibitor, measuring 44 square meters, in the that more than 250 publications will be released.

This event is one of the main stops on the international circuit to promote Galician literature, which receives more than a million readers each year and exceeds the participation of 12,000 professionals from the book sector during its almost three weeks of duration.

Thus, within the framework of this fair -considered one of the most important cultural and publishing events in Latin America-, the Xunta will develop from May 3 to 12 actions to further the dissemination of culture and books in the capital of Argentina through activities with workshops that will mix illustration and music, book presentations, storytelling, colloquiums and conferences.

Activities at the Galicia exhibitor

A delegation made up of professionals from the publishing and bookselling sector, also writers along with creators from the field of illustration, arrives at the Buenos Aires Fair. Thus, there will be the narrator Manel Loureiro, who will address the leap to audiovisual and other literary media and will participate in a discussion with the editor Luísa Ortigosa and with the illustrator Rebeca Varela ‘Perdivel’, which will focus on O fío do libro: quen, como, cando and onde.
