The Durango composer Natalia Domínguez, announced the result of her most recent book titled “Raíces y Viento”, composed of chamber music dedicated especially to childhood, with a playful and dynamic touch, for young people who express some concern with the music, this, with the intention of generating new audiences in the aforementioned artistic branch.

The Institute of Fine Arts of the Universidad Juárez of the State of Durango (IBA-UJED) was the place that welcomed countless people to respond to the invitation of Natalia Domínguez, who very effusively presented her most recent production, as a result of the Project to Stimulate Artistic Creation and Development (PECDA) Durango in its 2023 broadcast, of which the composer was a beneficiary.

According to the author: “Raíces y Viento seeks to promote collective creative work considering that part of the beauty and relevance of chamber music is that it teaches us to communicate with respect and to value otherness and its voice.”

To make the presentation of the book more enjoyable, Domínguez invited some professional musicians from the UJED Higher School of Music, who, as a recital, performed some of the pieces contained in the book with the intention of raising awareness about the book. background on the versatile proposal that includes a variety of rhythms.

Among the musicians who graced with their talent were the pianist Ana G.Alcázar, the clarinetist Miguel Mercado; the cellists Alitza Íñiguez and Valeria Casas, and, on percussion, Ramón Carreón stood out on the tambourine.

As far as the pieces are concerned, they were played during the recital: “Primavera”, “Two Klezmer Pieces: Sabinos y Pesca” / “Las Brujas de Tuitán”; “Nikriz”, “Brijinda” and “Cumbia Balkan de los Matachines”.
