From September 2 to 7, the book festival will take place and from now on the Julio Pérez Ferrero public library is preparing for all the scaffolding that represents serving this large number of visitors on an important date as it is the 20 years of this party.

Julio García Herreros, director of the Julio Pérez Ferrero Public Library, told Caracol Radio that “we are very optimistic for what will be a great cultural festival with great guests and important activities such as the creation of the second version of the FLIP Catatumbo, offering alternative cultural programs, the commemoration of the centenary of Gaitán and other events.”

He also highlighted that “we are making a special call, on the one hand, we are making a call on social networks for people who want to participate in volunteering and educational institutions that want to take their students to the book festival, completely free and can benefit from conversations, workshops, and other important activities.”

He concluded that they have made progress in important reading and writing projects through the municipal network of libraries of Cúcuta and that it is already operating with the 21 reading and writing sites in rural and urban areas.
