The mayor of Puerto Madryn, Gustavo Sastre, announced the development of the 2024 edition of the Municipal Book Fair, which will take place from Thursday, September 12 to Sunday, September 15, at the facilities of the local headquarters of the University of Chubut (Leandro N. German 1573). On this occasion, the Communal Chief highlighted the growth of the initiative, which is already positioned as one of the most outstanding in Patagonia.

There will once again be the presence of renowned authors from the national level, so it will be an opportunity to continue strengthening this event, which, in addition, successfully links the private sector with the public sector, as has been happening for years in our city.

In this regard, the Mayor said: “We have already officially presented the 2024 edition of the Municipal Book Fair, which aims to promote the work of writers, editors and booksellers related to the production and dissemination of literature in Patagonia. As happened in previous years, we are convinced that it will once again be a resounding success.”

“We are going to have four extraordinary days, with book presentations, dissertations, school visits, workshops open to the entire community, artistic presentations and closing of the day by nationally renowned authors. Just as we do with other sectors, we are going to involve the productive sector and social organizations and institutions for specific purposes, looking for tools to advance the communication and education of our community,” Sastre added.

Joint work
It should be noted that this event has been taking place in joint action with radio LU17 for three years now and is sponsored by the Undersecretariat of Culture of Chubut, Aluar and INFA and supported by the Joint Tourism Promotion Body, Rayentray Hotel and Red One. At the presentation of this new edition of the Municipal Book Fair, the Communal Chief was together with the Undersecretary of Culture, Diego Lacunza; Alejandro Castro and Martín Berrade; LU17 representatives; Valeria Lightowler, for Aluar, and Pablo Lopresti.
