The most emotional moment It starred Guillermo Amor, who burst into tears when reading a letter from Josep Amat to his worried parents when, in 1978, he entered La Masia: “We will make him a good footballer, but above all better person. We adopted him as if he were a son. Have confidence, Barça will not let you down,” Amat assured the parents of a very emotional Amor.

Jaume Amat’s family is formed by six generations of Barcelona fans. Among them, a former contemporary player of Gamper. Jaume Amat’s father collaborated with Miró-Sans and, in 1978, Jaume Amat was on the team by Victor Sagi. When he left the race for the presidency, Ferran Ariño and Josep Lluís Núñez tested him. He told them that he was willing to collaborate with whoever won, as long as he assumed his concept of Masia. Núñez won and fulfilled the agreement with Amat.

Francesc Perearnau glossed the figure of Jaume Amatwhile Paco Martínez (who joined the first team before the creation of La Masia) explained that “Jaume Amat was general director of Infrastructures i Carreteres at the time of Pujo. I was then mayor of Portbou and it helped me a lot. I know he held me in high esteem.”

Gemma Amat, for her part, explained some details of each chapter of his father’s book.
