RIL Editores is pleased to announce the presentation of the book “Study of the Sun” by Fernando Viveros Collyer, a work that proposes a set of possible and impossible experiences, a set of perceptions and languages of expression where a certain “encounter” in everyday experience of the daily sun occupies almost the entire stage.

The author, a student of philosophy and an assiduous poet since the 1980s, delivers here, in “Study of the Sun,” a meditation that expands its forms and languages beyond the literary and verbal – opening up to visuality in photography and painting – always in the “adventure” of this encounter with the sun.

“Estudio del Sol” challenges the conventions of a poetry book by integrating photography, philosophical reflection and narrative prose, in an innovative approach that opens up in the tradition of the visual book. Through quotes from authors such as Arthur Rimbaud and Eduardo Anguita in poetry, and Pablo Oyarzún and Martin Heidegger in philosophy, Viveros invites us to explore the complexity of his work, which goes beyond the mere contemplation of the sun as a theme.

The work is concerned with the horizons of things in Nature, time, history and human perception, as well as the mutual influences of philosophy and poetry. Furthermore, it establishes connections with other writers who have explored solar themes, thus expanding the spectrum of reflection on the sun in literature and currents of contemporary philosophy.

He has published three collections of poetry, a novel and directed philosophical and choreographic projects, writing regularly for digital platforms.
