Eight years have passed since the adventure began, since ‘Laberinto Tennen’, by David Luna, introduced readers to the adventures of Bastián or Lux.Zu. And in a few weeks, finally, David Luna’s eager readers will be able to read the end of his fantasy trilogy. After some editorial problems, ‘Fortalezas Tennen’ is going to reach the bookstores.

It is curious, because David Luna had not published a novel since the futuristic noir ‘Noctópolis’ in 2021. Soon the Toledo author will have three new books on the shelves of bookstores, which will be four by the end of the year.

Luna began the year with her ‘Eternos 27’, her recreation, illustrated by Rebeka Elizegi, of the last moments of the lives of several members of the 27 Club. After that success, another non-fiction book has arrived. ‘The Great Silence’ collects with a sense of humor and from scientific seriousness the different solutions to the Fermi paradox. That is, Luna compiles all the answers to why, if in theory the universe should be full of extraterrestrial civilizations, we have not contacted any. In this work, the Toledo native has had the complicity of another passionate about the subject, such as the illustrator Víctor Escandell. Where has everyone gone? There are those who think that extraterrestrials are among us, those who think that they are hidden by governments, that there are few planets like Earth that allow multicellular life, or that extraterrestrials wipe out other civilizations before they become a threat. Luna and Escandell have collected the fifteen best theories in a book that deals with global issues, with many illustrations, a sense of humor and seriousness in the texts.

Tennen Finale. And in the middle of the month ‘Fortalezas Tennen’ will finally arrive. It will be presented at the Celsius Festival in Avilés and Luna himself wants to bring it to his Library in Castilla-La Mancha after the summer.

The culmination of the Tennen trilogy has actually been delayed due to issues with the publisher. In fact, El Transbordador has been on the verge of closing. Until the solution came from Pak Gallego, who bought the publishing house and became interested in the saga.

At the moment, Luna does not want to advance too much on the work. Its cover has been known for a long time, with an enigmatic Lux.Zu in front, with the war between good and evil behind it. The author explains that the backgammon game continues between the two forces, where in the end everything is gray. As if in a zoom, the trilogy continually expands its field. If in ‘Sombras Tennen’ the plot acquired greater strength and darkness, while it became more choral, in Strengths the plots will close and the climax of the story will arrive “which is where the reader will realize that everything What we have narrated has a weight, from the first book, each and every one of the events acquires a new meaning. As always in Luna’s work, the author uses fantasy to talk about other topics, many transcendental.

But Luna’s posts probably aren’t over this year yet. Before the end of 2024, she hopes to bring out another horror novel, partially set in Toledo ‘You, Devil’. The story is a toxic relationship between a vampiric demon and his acolyte, who takes advantage of his presence in Toledo to rethink things. The novel will bring extras about the vampire myth or the Toledo of the necromancers.
