The Government, through the Ministry of Labor, decreed precautionary measures against the companies General Motors, Colmotores SA, Zona Franca Industrial Colmotores SAS and Zoficol SAS, after considering that they did not comply with the standards established by said portfolio for the process of dismissal of workers, after the announcement of the cessation of operations in Colombia and the definitive closure of its plant located in the south of Bogotá announced the previous week.
The official added that “the decision is due to the lack of guarantee and certainty regarding the condition of the workers involved in the authorization process for the total and definitive closure of work and consequently the collective dismissal of the workers.” .
