The Chilean automotive market is experiencing significant changes in preferences of consumers, reflecting a dynamic in constant evolution in the sector.
In that sense, a study by OLX Autos, a site for buying and selling used vehicles, revealed that The Chery Tiggo 2 model reached first place in the ranking of the best-selling cars during 2023displacing the traditional leader, Kia Morning.
As indicated, this change in the vehicle purchasing trend reflects the growing preference of Chilean consumers for vehicles of Chinese origin.
From OLX Autos they indicated that two of the ten best-selling models on the platform are of Chinese originhighlighting the relevance and competitiveness of this market in the global automotive industry.
“The rise of this type of automobile in the Chilean market coincides with a trend worldwide they said.
A report from the Los Angeles Times revealed that China overtook Japan as the world’s leading automobile exporter, consolidating it as an important player in the automotive industry.
The favorite models of Chileans
From OLX Autos they assured that the majority of sales are concentrated in three categories main vehicles:
