Hot chocolate with only 4 ingredients and super thick: for these cold days when something sweet provokes

Surely you have ever seen the photos of that chocolate thick hot served with churros, typical of Spain but also in the south of Argentina. It is a drink that should be a must to get through the cold and becomes the ideal treat to share on the weekend.

These days, cold and rain are expected in much of the country, as well as heavy snowfall in towns near the mountain range. Whatever part of Argentina you are in, don’t deprive yourself of making this recipe to enjoy a Sunday full of blankets with this cup in your hands and watching your favorite series or movie.

Try this hot chocolate.

The ingredients you will need to prepare this chocolate hot are the following:

  • 40 g bitter cocoa powder.
  • 30 g semisweet chocolate to melt.
  • 25 g of cornstarch.
  • 800 ml of milk.
  • Sweetener to taste and preference.
It has no waste.

Keep in mind that these proportions make approximately 4 medium cups or 2 large bowls. If you want a little more, you should double the amounts.

The first thing you have to do is chop the semi-sweet chocolate bars so that they take a little less time to melt in the heat later.

You can do it at home.

Then you are going to mix the milk with the bitter cocoa in a very clean saucepan or pot (if you use sugar you can add it in this step so that it dissolves better with the heat of the fire).

Also add the cornstarch and the chocolate chopped. Put it on the heat and don’t stop stirring.

With the help of a hand mixer you have to mix over medium heat, after approximately 10 minutes it will start to boil, keep mixing so that lumps do not form. After 10 more minutes, when it is thick and the cornstarch is cooked, you can serve. Follow this chocolate hot with some delicious croissants.
