Beyond the drop in sales experienced by the combines (and machinery in general), both in Argentina like in Brazilthe main harvesting equipment manufacturers continue to redouble their commitment to the region.

This is reflected in a product portfolio that adds new options available to producers in this part of the world, mainly in the segment of higher capacity equipment.

This is the new X9 Series, with the most advanced technology developed by the brand in harvesting equipment. Initially, it will market the X9 1000 model, with 630 HP, in Brazil.

At a global level, the boom in the so-called mega harvesters It is already a reality that has transformed the segment, with equipment that dazzles with its greater power and, above all, with an automation technological package that allows it to maximize its harvesting capacity.

Super harvesters

The novelty is that a good part of these super harvestersrecently launched globally, are now available in the region’s markets.

The last launch linked to the segment was carried out by John Deere, with the commercial presentation in Brazil of the new X9 Series. For now it comes in its version X9 1000, 557 HP of nominal power (639 HP of maximum power). But it is not ruled out that the X9 1100, top of the range of the series, with an engine of up to 700 HP. Both machines offer a harvesting capacity of up to 100 tons per hour.

The AGCO group, meanwhile, also set foot in Brazil with its premium Fendt brand and combine harvester line Ideal. It is available in the region in its versions Ideal 7, Ideal 8 and Ideal 9the latter with an impeller of 572 HP nominal power.

Other global brands, such as Claas, Case IH, New Holland, Massey Ferguson, Valtra and Challenger, are also present in the regional market, with a technological offer aligned with the product portfolio they offer in the central markets. And what is more important, several of them have important releases in the pipeline for the coming months.

Local brands

Brands in the region have also renewed their available offerings in the segment in recent years. In Argentina, Vassalli presented its new axial harvesters of the line V700with a power range that goes from 400 to 440 HP.

For its part, Metalfor returned to the field with the launch of the 2635 axial harvester, with 350 HP.

In BrazilColombo “broke the mold” in this segment with the launch of the first peanut harvester multifunction, since it can also collect beans, soybeans, corn and other grains. This is the first development of its kind worldwide. In 2023 the version was released Avanti C360, 360 HP, which is also now available in Argentina. And for this campaign he added the model Avanti C400400 HP.
