Tanzi “broke the mold” in the development of hopper cars for planting Air Drill with the presentation of the model Evox 20with a capacity of 20,000 liters.
It’s about a Air Cart of a new generation that, beyond its size, surprises with an innovative comprehensive concept, which combines a cutting-edge design with the latest technology applied to the dosing of grains and fertilizers.
The team was presented to society within the framework of AgroActiva 2024 (June 5-8 – Armstrong, Santa Fe).
Size
The first thing that comes to mind Evox 20 is its enormous size, at least by the parameters of the hopper cars known in the local market.
It offers a total capacity of 20,000 literswith three independent compartments of 9,500 liters, 6,400 liters and 4,100 liters, respectively.
Due to its characteristics, it is the largest hopper car sold in Argentina.
Design
But it’s not all about size. He Evox 20 stands out for its innovative comprehensive concept, which proposes a new way of conceiving the hopper cars as the nerve center of the sowing Air Drill.
This is reflected in a cutting-edge design, which “cleans” the front area of turbines and other components.
It also optimizes maintenance tasks, with a lateral area that concentrates the supervision points, following ergonomic and safety criteria for the operator.
Technology
Of course, the strong suit of the new model is the technology package, aimed at optimizing the dosage and distribution of planting inputs.
For example, the Evox 20 incorporates the dosing system intelliFlow of the latest generation, with eight dispensers per compartment, which implies a total of 24 independent dispensers.

“ANDIt is a disruptive technology in every sense“, summarizes Ignacio TanziDirector of Tanzi.
“We have made a very important advance with respect to the Air Drill seeders that, for 25 years, were limited to a square”, he adds.
“All manufacturers thought within a square and we left all that to make an entirely new machine”Tanzi remarks.
“The design of the Air Cart is more like a combine or tractor and incorporates a completely new dosing system,” he adds.
“It is a system that allows, on average, a saving of US$ 20,000 per 1,000 hectares if we consider a 7% overlap in a standard planting in the Core Zone.”says Tanzi.
“It is a technology that is currently mastered by only three companies in the world and Tanzi becomes part of that group.”, he points out.

The Evox 20 is 10 meters long, 3.60 meters high and has a transport width of 3.90 meters (without duals).
In work configuration, it has dual wheels on a single axle, aiming to minimize the compaction that an Air Cart of such weight can exert.
Dosage
The dosing system intelliFlow It is made of polymers and other non-corrosive materials. It has an electric drive with its own power generation device.
It has eight dispensers per compartment and per product, reaching a total of 24 independent dispensers.
Likewise, it has a new central chassis configuration that allows greater accessibility to the dosing system.
Another feature is the automatic functional cut-off to obtain input savings of up to 15%.
It also has electrical independence through 24 motors for sowing and fertilization.
Through this autonomous system, no energy is consumed from the tractor and it generates its own energy.
