The diverse electric motorcycle sector celebrates the arrival of one of the most complete options that have been launched this year. It is called Solar E-Clipse and, apart from a clever play on words, it is a multi-purpose electric motorcycle with power, speed and a great capacity for autonomy per recharge at a competitive price in relation to many of its rivals.
The new electric two-wheeled vehicle comes to the market in two different versions: the E-Clipse 2.0 and the E-Clipse Race Edition. The standard version is powered by a 10 kW (13.4 HP) motor mounted in the middle of the vehicle capable of reaching a maximum speed of 96 km/h. On the other hand, the top version ups the ante a little more and has a 15 kW (20 HP) motor that reaches a maximum speed of 105 km/h.

The bike is built on a hand-produced carbon fiber chassis and swingarm, which gives it a very special touch. It is a modular and customizable machine that, for example, allows you to select the type of rims and tires needed for travel depending on the type of pavement.

If most of these trips are going to be on asphalt, you can choose to fit carbon fiber wheels and 16-inch road tires. While if it is going to be used on dirt and sand roads, it is best to opt for the 19-inch all-terrain tires.
The E-Clipse is capable of traveling up to 113 km maximum on a full charge of its 45 Ah LG battery, which operates at less than 72 V and can reach peaks of 400 A of power, although its continuous flow is at 120 A in the standard version. In the Race edition, this peak force can rise to 600 A. To fully charge the battery it takes about four hours when connected to a household outlet.

Another element that Solar Scooters has incorporated into its latest innovation are regenerative braking, inverted forks and adjustable suspension systems. In addition, the top-of-the-range bike adds a swing arm, a higher engine position, adjustable brake levers and four-piston brake calipers.

It is a modular motorcycle that allows you to vary the type of rims and tires depending on the type of pavement.
As for its aesthetics, it is reminiscent of light dirt bikes with a touch of futuristic inspiration. It includes an LCD screen to control different parameters, LED position lights and emergency lights, among other elements. You can have a pair of side luggage racks with a capacity of 23 liters.
