The Dutch company Homburg announced the purchase of the Swedish startup Ekobotspecialized in the production of agricultural robots.

“Now we can continue developing Ekobot according to our own vision of agriculture”holds Jack ThibaudierExecutive Director of Homburg.

Ekobot developed the robot Ekobot WEAIwith a design similar to a domestic lawnmower robot.

Its function is the mechanical control of weeds that is achieved through a camera system and recognition techniques based on Artificial Intelligence.

Additionally, it operates with a patented mechanical weeding instrument.

The system also maintains a constant connection to the Cloud, allowing for further crop analysis.
