Discover what this Lexus GX hides to become a chef

The new generation of the Lexus GX, which is not sold in Spain and is based on the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser, has been transformed by the luxury appliance company Monogram, into something more than a luxury SUV. This unique concept was presented in Aspen, Colorado, the elite North American ski resort, during the Food & Wine Classic, a high-level fair dedicated to gastronomy, wine and spirits.

The Lexus GX Monogram gives a new meaning to what a luxury trip on the road or on any terrain means, thanks to its new equipment, nothing to do with the camper kitchens we are used to. To begin with, the tailgate of the GX has been replaced by two side-opening doors to give access to everything that occupies the trunk space and makes this Lexus a gourmet space. That entire area has been used to the maximum, even the side windows of the cargo space have disappeared to become storage spaces for luxurious glassware.

The most striking thing when opening the two rear vertical doors is Monogran’s intelligent electric oven measuring no less than 72 cm, handmade for this space, with a performance similar to that of a wood and brick oven, to prepare pizza, artisan bread or any type of meat or fish. Around the oven there are numerous compartments with all the necessary elements for cooking, baking, cutlery and trash can. Between the two rear seats is a small refrigerator and an ice maker that features a sphere for chilling bourbon or spirits.

All Everything dedicated to wine is located on the outside, in the panels that previously occupied the third line of the windows. In these spaces, perfectly fixed and safe, you can place bottles of wine or any other drink, opener, glasses and glasses. In addition, it also has a bar kit to enjoy all the drinks in total comfort.

A revised design

In addition to all this equipment, Monogram designer Richard T. Anuszkiewicz updated the GX’s interior, making it even more refined. The leather has been customized in two camel tones, with brass and titanium applications throughout the interior, as well as details in Dekton slate, a porcelain material used in kitchen countertops. For exterior “touch-ups,” such as the blind rear windows that open and house some of the luxury hardware, Lexus and Monogram turned to the team at Complete Customs.

The matte anthracite color is the one that the guys at Complete Customs have chosen for the exterior, with huge wheels with gold touches, as well as on the ends of the roof bars, the door handles and the Lexus and Monogram logos. This GX is just a display model but it turns any trip into a gastronomic experience… if you know how to cook.
