Juliano Perelli is a marketing and tractor specialist at New Holland. He received the team The Field Today at the imposing New Holland stand at Agroactiva, where he told us some details of this “concept” in which the brand places many expectations.
It is a product that we are working on within a clean energy strategy. Last year we presented a tractor powered by biomethane at Agroactiva, and now we present this concept completely powered by electricity.
Perelli recalled that the company has been working with biofuels since 2010. In 2013 they started with biomethane, and now this electric concept.
We want to get out of dependence on diesel, since we in Latin America and around the world have a very strong dependence on this fuel.
And he analyzed the impact of the pandemic, the war, and the constant bid for diesel. In addition, he highlighted a much more sustainable view, “because we have the possibility of generating electrical energy through photovoltaics, etc., these are favorable points for cheaper energy.”
Regarding performance, he highlighted that with the T4, it is possible to work between 8 to 10 hours, depending on the engine load.
It comes with three clutch packs, three battery packs, one under the hood, and one on each side, with an energy storage capacity of 55 KW of power, about 75 horsepower.
It delivers the same force as a diesel tractor, the torque is the same, and more importantly, in the electric one, the torque is instantaneous, there are no oscillations, and customers can always take advantage of the maximum force of the engine from the beginning.
