Porsche donates 911,000 euros through its “Racing for Charity” initiative

This year Porsche is once again giving the entire donation amount to three charitable initiatives. The associations Kinderherzen retten (Save Children’s Hearts) and Interplast Germany will each receive €350,000 from these funds. For its part, the Ferry Porsche Foundation will obtain 211,000 euros for future support for sick children and their families.

Support for three non-profit initiatives

“Our ‘Racing for Charity’ action was a great success in 2023. For the first time we were able to clearly show the company’s social responsibility in motorsports,” explained Michael Steiner, member of the Board of Management of Porsche AG responsible for Research and Development. Development. “The very positive comments that the beneficiary organizations gave us about how they administered the aid motivated us to continue with this project in 2024. Our three official prototypes did 100 more laps than last year, which is equivalent to an amount to donate of 624 750 euros. However, Porsche will once again round this figure up to 911,000 euros. With our support, the three non-profit organizations Kinderherzen retten eV, Interplast Germany eV and the Ferry Porsche Foundation will be able to continue their extraordinary work. Motorsport is a central part of the Porsche brand identity, but ultimately it is the people who deserve our respect and recognition beyond the factory doors.”

Improve quality of life sustainably

Professor Friedhelm Beyersdorf, founder of Kinderherzen retten eV, said: “Our sincere thanks to Porsche for their fantastic ‘Racing for Charity’ initiative. We are very happy that Kinderherzen retten e. V. has been selected again this year as one of the recipients of the donation. Above all, it’s great for kids! “This money means we can offer cardiosurgical procedures at Freiburg University Hospital to children who would otherwise have had little chance of survival and give them a healthy future.”
