Pacific Mining Construction plans to build a beneficiation plant for gold processing in the La Libertad region, with an investment that exceeds US$ 10 million. In order to advance towards the development of this project, the company requested accreditation of water availability from the Jequetepeque Local Water Administration (ALA-J) as part of the procedure for granting the right to use surface water from the Jequetepeque aquifer.

The water resource will be used “for mining purposes” in the implementation of the benefit plant, in the Mocan and Nunja sector, La Arenita and Cupisnique annexes, in the district of San Pedro de Lloc, province of Pacasmayo. The company plans to use approximately 80,478.85 cubic meters of water (m3) per year.

The initiative involves the construction and operation of a gold mineral concentration plant, where mineral collection, processing and marketing of the final product will be carried out, with an estimated “production” of up to 250 metric tons per day of gold.

During the construction stage, it is expected to create more than 200 jobs in civil, electromechanical and electrical work for the area of influence.

The company specified that the infrastructure will not lead to mining exploitation activities; That is, no open pit or underground work will be carried out. In addition, it does not foresee discharges of effluents.
