There are a few hours left before we can hear that third collaboration between Aitana and Sebastián Yatra who have been baiting social networks for a few days. It will be just when we go from Thursday to Friday when it appears on all digital platforms ‘Akureyri’, a song that takes us to the getaway they made to Iceland -this is the name of one of the places they visited during the trip through the Nordic country- and which, according to some, will give the keys to the sentimental breakup. But while that arrives and while we wait to know if they have been given a second chance, as is mentioned in all the lies in the social chronicle, we can stop at the message crossing of the Colombian singer and Cosme Ocaña, her father.
It is in the ‘post’ shared by both singers, the one in which they appear together in the recording studio and in which Yatra plays some chords on the guitar, where the Catalan’s father writes in the comments: “One of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. Impossible not to be moved”. Sebastian’s reaction? Ask him a question to see if he would get into the situation: “When did you hear it?”. And Cosme, of course he enters. “I’ve heard it so many times, I don’t even remember when it was.”is the response that shows that her daughter shows her everything she does so that she can test it before it reaches the ears of the rest of us.
As we say, in recent days they have been responsible for launching several messages on social networks to generate the fair expectation that it deserves to return with a new music seven months after the release of that ‘Alpha’ with which he is touring the world on stage. “This song is the most special in a long time…”could be read next to the image with which he revealed the cover of the issue and in which he added the departure times in different parts of the world.
The other collaborations of Aitana and Sebastián Yatra
Now that we can confirm that they have joined forces, once again, in the recording studio, we can affirm that this is the third time they have brought their talents together. The first of them is found in 2020, that ‘Lifeless Heart’ which is part of the album ‘Las doubts’ that was the seed of the most extensive tour of the singer who came from the ‘Operación Triunfo’ Academy in 2017. A song in which we find a nod at the beginning of the lyrics to one of the classics from Alejandro Sanz’s repertoire: “Why did you heal me when I was wounded, if today you leave me with a lifeless heart again?”.
The second of them would arrive two years later, 2022 – yes, if this collaboration happens now, Why not dream that we are facing a pattern and in 2026 expect another ‘hit’ coming from their voices?-, they launched ‘The doubts’. In this case, it was one of the pieces on the tracklist of ‘Dharma’, by Yatra. A kind of back and forth of musical ‘favors’ that sounded just as you can see in the video that we leave you right below, pressing ‘play’.
