In the Caracol radio podcast, ‘Great and older than me’, hosted by Vannesa de la Torré, Malú told part of her life. This is what happened to Malú after separating from her first husband, Juan Castañeda, with whom she had her only two children, Juan Martín and Lorenzo. Malú decided to separate from Castañeda after the marriage began to deteriorate. The couple was married for 10 years. After the separation, Malú had to finish raising her two children alone. Her ex-partner was not financially responsible for her children, who at that time were still children.

Malú’s response to her ex-husband’s irresponsibility was to sue him, she says that they were difficult times and that she started the process against the father of her children more out of dignity. Malú ends that part of the conversation with a kind of invitation to women who go through the same thing: “If she doesn’t want to pay because she doesn’t want to, the law and the judicial system force the men.”
