Camila Andrade reported her ex-boyfriend, a man named Gerardo Zavala, who has commercial premises, to the Labor Inspection because she argues that he did not pay her for her work in a beauty salon that they started together prior to their separation and before she began her relationship with Francisco Kaminski. The 33-year-old former Miss Chile believes that Zavala owes her nine million pesos. On the other hand, the ex minimizes Andrade’s work in the business and believes that she only owes 600 thousand pesos.
In Zona de Estrellas they spoke with Zavala:
Hugo Valencia: “There are several things that Gerardo wants to clarify in relation to Camila Andrade’s lawsuit. The first thing that came between the company, or him, and Camila, there was never an employment contract. And she alleges that she should receive a monthly salary of one and a half million pesos for services provided, because Camila says that her work began in November of last year. And according to Gerardo, what happened in November was the delivery of the keys to the premises.”
Mario Velasco: “Yes, but that’s where the taximeter starts to run, the moment when Camila starts to put energy into a place”
Valencia: “According to what Gerardo tells me, during the months of December and January the premises were just being built. Camila considers that she started working since November and that is why it is nine million.
Adriana Barrientos: “What Camila should have done is have an employment contract”
Valencia: “Gerardo gives me some dates. He tells me that the store opened on February 25. On the 27th they go on vacation to Brazil, they returned to Chile on March 4 and they end their relationship on the tenth of the same month.
“So, for Gerardo, Camila’s job was from March 4 to March 10, when the store was open and they were still a couple. Six days. And he tells me that in the period before March the only thing Camila would have done was accompany the administrator to buy supplies on one occasion. She is going to have to prove that she did more work.
“And in March what she did a couple of times was go to the beauty center to have a few coffees and talk to the clientele that was arriving. For that job he offers her these 600 thousand pesos, something she is not willing to accept.
