The ex-footballer Fabian Estay re-addressed the rumor that it romantically linked with his then best friend Iván Zamorano in the program The Divine Food. A rumor that has persisted over time.

This statement caused a grimace in sports journalist Fernando Solabarrieta, present on the program and familiar with the story.
The origin
Fabián Estay, former La Roja national team player and Zamorano’s former teammate at the América de México club, shared how the rumor originated. It all started after Zamorano canceled his marriage to Kenita Larraín.
“He was my best friend at the time. He did not marry Kenita Larraín and speculation began. They were shining my shoes in Mexico and, annoyingly, I told the boy ‘And your boyfriend, how is he?’ and he answers me: ‘How are you with Zamorano, because you appear in the newspaper’“, revealed.
As a joke, the former soccer player responded to the boy saying: “The day I like a man, he will have to be handsome. Ivan is not to my taste”. However, what started as a simple joke quickly became a persistent rumor that has followed Estay to this day.
Although Fabian Estay takes the rumor with humor, it bothers him that Iván Zamorano has not categorically denied it publicly. “I complained to him that he should have said ‘you know what, don’t put Fabián here, it’s a personal issue with Kena, Fabián has three daughters, one of which is his goddaughter.’, and did not do it. To this day, they continue to tell me, I upload things and they tell me ‘get Zamorano out’“, lament.
