It was then when the record company decided that together they would begin their musical journey, at only 25 and 26 years old, appearing in the Eurovision preselection looking forward to the following year. An edition in which David Civera (who came sixth in the festival) triumphed to head to Denmark while they came in ninth place.
The drama of that gala did not last long because its theme ‘I want to dance’ became one of the biggest hits of the summer. A song that 23 years later continues to play in clubs throughout Spain. They gave three concerts a day. and with their first self-titled single they sold more than one and a half million copies. They even added lyrics to the second edition of ‘Big Brother’ and they acted by arriving at Guadalix de la Sierra’s house from a large UFO. A great television moment that all fans of the format retain in their memory. Of course, Selena confessed in an interview in ‘El Mundo’ that she did not earn as much as people think: “The artist takes a small percentage of the sales… “We don’t make any significant money.”. On the occasion of the ten years of their greatest triumph, mature Sonia and Selena put (or tried) to put an end to their differences to have a chance again and make a place for themselves in the artistic scene.
