Naomi Watts and Billy Crudup married for the second time with his family and friends. The actors carried out the celebration in a private ceremony in Mexico, on Saturday, June 8. On this new occasion, photographer Ben Watts, brother of the ‘King Kong’ actress, shared through his Instagram account the photos and videos of how the big moment was experienced.
The first time they said “I do!” It was last year, in June 2023in a New York City courtroom.
“Naomi x Billy, Mexico City”, was the description that the photographer used in several of his publications about the event. Ben Watts was in charge of capturing spontaneous moments of his sister’s celebration with the ‘Almost Famous’ actor. One of these was a video of the two families in an elevator with the song ‘Love and Marriage’ by Frank Sinatra in the background.
During this renewal of vowsthe couple’s children were completely involved. According to the images, Crudup walked down the aisle with his son, William Atticus Parker. Next, the maid of honor, Naomi Watts’ daughter, Kai Schreiber, entered. Finally, the actress’s son, Sasha Schreiber, was the one who gave her away.
In addition to their family, the couple was accompanied by close friends from hollywoodas Justin Theroux, Nicole Kidman, Isla Fisher and Deborra-Lee Furness. These celebrities also shared messages of love for the actors and their best wishes as they renew their wedding vows.
Part of the photographer’s video showed a small fragment of the British actress’s speech. As she held her husband’s hand and looked him in the eyes, she said the following words: “This is a reminder of what life is, the affirmation of love is one of the simplest things but also one of the most important”.
Naomi and Billy’s love story
The actors met on the set of the Netflix series ‘Gypsy’ in 2017. During the filming of the show, photos emerged of the duo sharing free time together and sparked rumors about a possible romance.
Six months later, they confirmed their relationship at Vogue (UK)’s 2018 BAFTA after-party in London. Naomi and Billy walked out holding hands.
Years later, in June 2023, they married in a New York court, and a year after making their love official, they renewed their vows in a private ceremony in Mexico.
