The talented singer and former member of the successful cumbia pop band Lovebirds, Melina Lezcanotook a new and significant step in his personal and professional life by changing his last name.
Melina repeatedly shared her desire to legally obtain the surname of Tirso Brizuela, the person who raised her throughout her life with her mother, Mabel Brosulo. Finally, after a legal battle, the singer’s heartfelt father managed to obtain full integration adoption, which consists of adopting the child of the spouse or cohabitant, which allowed the singer to legally change her last name.
In an emotional post, Melina shared her joy at completing the legal process and officially adopting the last name Brizuela. “You don’t know what this little girl wanted to be able to share absolutely everything with her family.”he wrote, expressing the happiness and liberation he feels as he embraces his new identity.
“I always knew I didn’t need the last name to be a part of it, but a part of me always needed it. Today I achieved it and I feel that an incredible new stage awaits me, leaving behind things that still weighed a little. Obviously it’s not the last name, I’ve been doing very strong internal work for quite some time and this is like a little gift for that effort!”Melina acknowledged.
The singer also published a conversation she had with Tirso after learning of the Civil Registry’s decision: “Now you’re going to have to listen to me, I’m your official dad.”joked the singer’s adoptive father. “Now you’re going to have to give me all your money hahahaha and I’ll have mine!!!”the singer responded.
In addition, she thanked feminist lawyers from La Plata, with whom she began the process before the law: “Thanks for the patience. We did it”Melina wrote.
