As part of his trip to Spain this week, Javier Milei will share a dinner with the Spanish youtuber Guillermo Diaz, better known as Willyrex. The meeting was confirmed by the influencer through his podcast Spicy4tuna: the President and the famous Spaniard will attend the Freedom Dinner next Friday, June 21, where the libertarian will be awarded the Instituto Juan de Mariana 2024 prize for “an exemplary defense of the ideas of freedom.” The event, which will take place at the Madrid Casino, has sold out tickets.
“Next week we are going to the Freedom Dinner with Milei,” Willyrex confirmed. Afterwards, he reflected: “I was thinking, ‘okay, I’ll put it on my social networks,’ but we’ve always been very white; I have never talked about politics, religion or football. For me there were three things that couldn’t be touched, also because they don’t matter to me at all.”
In this context, he indicated: “But now, Milei, what do I do? Right now 90% of Argentines like me, but if I get in a photo with Milei… So, risk-reward, is it worth it? I have this dilemma”.
Willyrex is from Madrid and has two YouTube channels with more than 35 million subscribers. He is considered one of the great pioneers of the content creation community on that platform. Additionally, in his podcast Spicy4tuna he talks about investments and current economic and political news.
In 2022 he married his partner Cristina Urbiola, with whom he already has a child in common and another on the way.
The 31-year-old has lived in Andorra for 10 years and is in a complicated financial situation with the Spanish Tax Agency. This temporarily prohibits him from having at least three properties in Barcelona, two of them located in exclusive areas such as Pedralbes and Sarrià-Sant Gervasiand a share in a store in the same area. The restriction was imposed at the end of October 2022 due to an inspection of his personal debts of 600,000 euros to the treasury.
According to local media, the properties are registered in the name of the company Willyrex SLof which the youtuber owns 100% of the share capital. The Tax Agency provisionally seized his shares in the company, including the properties, to prevent him from liquidating them and evading the debt.
In January, by decision of the Spanish Tax Agency, His two apartments in Barcelona were seized, so he is prohibited from selling or renting them. He also had to pay an exorbitant amount of fine money after being found guilty of evading taxes between 2013 and 2014.
This year, he spoke about his tax situation and assured that the investigation was carried out by a newspaper. “They have told me things that are lies so that I can respond”he expressed.
