Sergio Verón visited Show Partners accompanied by his daughters, Ariadna and Crystal, and He told what the adoption process was like and the path he took with his partner, Franco, to build the family they always dreamed of.
“The story begins at a time when Franco and I had thought about the possibility of starting a family,” the physical education teacher began to say. They had thought about becoming a father through surrogacy, but were shocked by the fact that the number of children in Argentina in a state of adaptability and who come of age and were not adopted. “So they were very young waiting to start a family and that possibility did not happen”said Sergio.
Verón and Franco adopted Ariadna and Crystal 4 years ago, but to their surprise everything happened faster than they thought. “Four years ago we were a family and everything happened very quickly, after 6 months they were already living at home,” he confessed.
Excited to tell his story and that of his daughters, Verón revealed that it was the hardest thing they had to go through once they were adopted. “At first we had learning problems and since I work in health I expected a diagnosis. But there was never one, the teams told us ‘they lacked love, they lacked someone who loves them, who loves them, who accompanies them and who they can understand.’ that”, said the famous physical trainer.
The Members asked them what is the nicest thing about having the dad they have and the answer moved the entire panel. Crystal, the youngest, responded: “He knows how to help us. He is always there for us. It’s something that no boy at home had.”
Ariadna is now 15 years old and explained that since she found her family there has been a very significant change in her life and in her way of being: “I had bad behavior, I attacked, I insulted, I had no hygiene, I didn’t know how to read. I was a rebel.” . Crystal, for her part, said that she managed to let go of the loneliness she felt when she lived at home.
Sergio Verón concluded by saying that his daughters became his absolute priority. “The priority went to them, for everything. “What happened to my co-workers began to happen to me.”he expressed, showing how his life changed radically since the adoption.
