The condition of ‘The Boys’ to sign Marvel actors in the Prime Video series

A few weeks ago, before learning about the big joke in episode 4×05 of ‘The Boys’ at the expense of Marvel’s MCU (we talked about this later), FOTOGRAMAS spoke with the showrunner of the Prime Video series, Eric Kripke, about the possibility that one of the Avengers could make some kind of cameo in the most irreverent and wild superhero series on television. And his response caught us completely by surprise.

“We’ve never really tried it,” Kripke begins, “because we have this weird rule that Marvel and DC don’t exist in our world. You know, there’s no Superman, Batman or Iron Man here.. There are only superheroes and Vought comics.” However, after lowering expectations, hope arrives: “But If Tom Holland or Robert Downey Jr. want to join ‘The Boys’, or any of the others, they can come whenever they want.. They are more than welcome. Although they couldn’t play their Marvel superhero, we would have to think about another role. But heThe doors are open, gentlemen.. If they wanted to come in, they are in.”

Tom Holland could play a lot in the adaptation of Garth Ennis’ comics, but without a doubt Robert Downey Jr. would be a perfect addition that would fit like a glove into the tone of the Prime Video series. However, for the moment we have to settle (which is not enough) in this fourth season with the surprising cameo of Tilda Swinton voicing the octopus Ambrosious (yes, it’s her) or Will Ferrell as a parody version of himself within the Vought Cinematic Universe. Because the VCU (Vought Cinematic Universe) exists in ‘The Boys’and this week features the biggest nod to Marvel of all of Season 4.

And the jewel in the crown is left for last: ‘All Black’, the film that celebrates the two African-American members (plus one unidentified) of The Seven, with ‘not at all racist’ product placement that varies according to the ethnicity of the viewer. “‘Go woke, go broke (progressives end up poor)?’ We say: Go woke up, get yoked! (progres are worth double).

All this, the day after Kevin Feige announced that Marvel will return to Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con this summer after being absent last year due to the strike of scriptwriters and actors. timing It couldn’t be better.
