With the objective of enhancing the effectiveness of the preventive system through the implementation of a risk-based approach, the regulations introduced changes in the regulatory framework that governs registered public accountants whose activities are regulated by the Professional Councils of Economic Sciences.
However, by virtue of the dynamics of the activity, it is worth clarifying that, in the case of external audits of financial statements for general purposes of the entities listed in article 20 of Law 25,246 and amendments and/or those that are not stated in said article have income from ordinary activities equal to or greater than 4,000 Minimum, Living and Mobile Wages, valued at the closing date of the financial year, UIF Resolution 42/2024 applies to financial statements corresponding to annual years beginning on or after the 1st January 2024.
On the other hand, it is important to highlight that the aspects related to the effective implementation of the standard were the product of the exchange and consensus reached with the Argentine Federation of Professional Councils of Economic Sciences (FACPCE) and authorities of the Professional Councils that represent the 24 provincial jurisdictions.
