Members of these companies have expressed their discontent upon receiving invoices with a dues adjustment that has not been applied correctly as imposed by the government.

Caputo announced that a channel will be opened to receive complaints this Thursday and assured that they will be imposed strong sanctions to those companies that have not complied with the government decision. “On Thursday we are going to clarify the formula and there will be a channel for complaints of invoices that do not comply with what was agreed,” said the minister through his official Twitter account in response to a user who reported that the prepaid companies had not complied with what was agreed. agreed.

In case of failure to recalculate rates, a fine will be applied that will be a considerable percentage of the annual billing. The president also shared the minister’s message on his Twitter account.

Last week, the government expanded the measure advance guardianship against prepaid medicine companies, incorporating five new companies into the complaint for alleged cartelization and abusive increase in fees. With these new additions, the precautionary measure covers 23 companies that represent 95% of the members of the private system.

It is worth mentioning that, according to INDEC, accumulated inflation in 2024 is 51.6% while increases in health plans are around 165%, that is, three times more. With these new additions, companies are expected to adjust their prices and return the increases that exceeded the consumer price index in recent months. Furthermore, it is requested that this parameter be taken into account for future increases.

From the government, they explained that the precautionary measure seeks to protect competition and defend the free market against anti-competitive practices and abuses in the arbitrary determination of quota increases.
