“I went to the United States to do experimental pathology at the American Cancer Institute and then epidemiology at Johns Hopkins University. With this very solid training I went to the international agency for cancer research in Lyon and focused especially on cancers that were important for developing countries such as stomach cancer, cervical cancer, liver cancer and esophageal cancer. ”.

The scientist from Cali explained.

Currently, Dr. Nubia Muñoz, pride of this city, lives in France and feels immense satisfaction knowing that 60% of the countries in the world have introduced this vaccine.

“The most important thing was when President Santos called me in 2012 to participate in the launch of the vaccination program. The program started fantastic because they had coverage as good as that of Australia.”
