What will the adjustment method be like to avoid excesses?

An adjustment scheme established by the government for the private medicine sector, in such a way that the value of the monthly fees paid by its clients will be tied to fixed and applicable variables through a formula that will take as a reference value the payment made by the last month of last year.

According to what was established, these values may not exceed the quota of the medical care health plan for the month of December 2023 multiplied by (1 + the percentage variation between the Consumer Price Index general level with national coverage prepared by the INDEC in force at the time of the corresponding billing, and the same Index corresponding to December 2023), indicated the Ministry of Commerce.

In this way, to calculate the maximum value of the current quota (depending on the case, it could be April or May), an adjustment must be applied, at most 93.3% for the April installment (that is, the accumulated inflation between the months of November and February).

While for the May quota A maximum adjustment of 114.6% should be applied (that is, the inflation accumulated in the months of November to March).

For example, if the fee is for April, the value of the December fee must be multiplied by 1.933 (if it was invoiced after April 17). If the fee is for May, the value of the December fee must be multiplied by 2.146. In the case of invoices prior to April 17, the discount will be applied to the next invoice.

Meanwhile, it is important to highlight that this adjustment mechanism with a limit on registered inflation will be in force until September.
