Like many young people from the provincial interior, Mauricio Fernández abandoned his native Sampacho at the beginning of the millennium to pursue their dreams. He wanted to study medicine at National University of Córdoba (UNC).

He arrived in the Capital in 2001, in the midst of an economic and social crisis in Argentina. His initial plans became complicated and due to life circumstances he had to give up.

At 26 years old he decided to resume his studies to become a doctor. Today, after years of sacrifice, combining work, study and family, he managed to take the last subject and obtain his long-awaited degree.
