The Superintendency of Health Services sued 13 other prepaid medicine companies for the strong increases they have maintained in their fees since deregulation from December to date.
Thus, there are a total of 36 companies sued before the Federal Civil and Commercial Court where a judge has already issued a precautionary measure.
Initially, there were 23 that were ordered by Justice to roll back their values to December and increase them according to the Consumer Price Index (CPI).
The plan for repayment of the overcharged amounts must be approved by the judge.
Meanwhile, the Superintendency of Health Services expanded the lawsuit and now included 13 other companies that were not reached by the first precautionary measure issued by the judge.
The new defendants are International Health Services Argentina SA; YPF Social Work; Opdea; Osdepym; Mar del Plata Medical Foundation; In health; Spanish Charity and Mutual Society; Cobensil; Medin SASMA; Pueyrredón Medical Center; SA Health Program; Medical’s Organization of Private Medical Benefits SA; and the Social Work of the Management Personnel of the Private Petroleum Industry.
