The 75-year-old Chamamecero singer-songwriter was admitted to the Corrientes Cardiology Institute at the beginning of the weekend and this morning his state of health was announced.
“The patient is on the second day of clinical observation, due to presenting a clinical picture of transient neurological deficit,” says the statement signed by Dr. Julio Vallejos, director of the Cardiology Department.
Bofill, according to the statement, was subjected to “the corresponding studies and is being treated by the specialist in endovascular neurointerventionism and a multidisciplinary team of professionals.”
The musician “despite being a patient with multiple vascular conditions (pan vascular), is lucid, collaborative, compensated and in good clinical condition,” the report adds.
To highlight, Bofill is about to turn 76 years old on June 16, and has had a musical career for around half a century. In October 2021 he had announced his retirement from the stage, however in the middle of the following year he returned to tour the region’s festivals.
