The new Technical Labor Program for Competencies in Physical Conditioning and Fitness is part of the 2024-II academic offer.

The event was attended by the university community, athletes, independent trainers, members of gyms and sports companies in the city, who enjoyed a marathon in the football stadium of the University of Magdalena.

The launch of the Program was chaired by Master Wilson Velásquez Bastidas, director of the Center for the Regionalization of Education and Opportunities-CREO-and Master Nelson Daza Goenaga, Area Director of CREO.

The Alma Mater, faithful to its commitment to the integral education of the being and complying with the 2020-2030 Development Plan and the Government Plan of Doctor Pablo Vera Salazar, Rector of the House of Higher Studies, is committed to the sports career, articulating it thus.

The Personal Trainer Labor Technician by Competencies is part of CREO’s academic offer for the second semester of 2024, and is welcomed by the empirical population in physical training.

Those who access this technique will have the opportunity to work as personal, functional, gym trainers, or trainers of sports clubs, companies and resorts, as well as work as coordinators of sporting events.

In the city, one of the most interested in this Work Program are the members of the gyms, this is the case of Yoraxy Romero Viloria, a student in the ninth semester of Professional Sports at CREO, who brought his team of coaches from his Benji Sport Gym. .

“This Technician is a boom, there are already many registered in my Gym, thanks to the Institution, to Rector Pablo Vera Salazar for giving the opportunity to those who had not been able to certify as such,” said Romero Viloria.

In turn, the personal trainer Alfredo Alarcón Fontalvo, with 32 years of carrying out this work of training others, assured that it is very good that those who work in this area of ​​​​sport take advantage of this opportunity that UNIMAGDALENA offers them to train with great payment facilities. .

“Those empirical instructors who have learned in one way or another, through their social networks, I invite you to come closer, strengthen and deepen your knowledge, because what we want is to transform lives,” Alarcón Fontalvo pointed out.

The aforementioned Program is accessed at a cost of less than one and a half salaries, it is carried out in two semesters, studying 28 credits and they have the opportunity to quickly join the work area, and thus continue professional training in the sports career.

With the launch of this program, the University aims to focus on a sports career, articulating it to “Lifelong Education.”
