The medical course, for which an agreement has already been signed with the Herminio Arrieta Technical School in Libertador, is expected to begin teaching classes at said establishment. In this regard, the official said that “a future improvement plan was presented for the re-adaptation of the spaces of the Oscar Orias Hospital. Because when the construction, transfer and start-up of the new hospital is finished, the refurbishment of the old hospital will begin so that it can be the permanent headquarters of the course,” he indicated.
The secretary reiterated that, for the teaching of the medical degree in Jujuy, the University of Tucumán designated a headquarters through the UNJu in the city of Libertador General San Martin until the teaching staff is in a position to assume leadership.
Finally, he mentioned that the medical degree will have preliminary courses and an entrance exam until the final quota of applicants is defined. “The provincial government assumed, before CONEAU, the responsibility of financing the necessary resources, infrastructure and teaching staff that the degree entails until the national project is approved. We are working and it is the wish of the Governor that by mid-2025 the degree will be authorized for teaching.”
