Apple celebrates Star Wars Day with a video starring a fan dressed as a Mandalorian whose secret weapon is his iPhone 15.
Every May 4th, various events are held to commemorate the franchise created by George Lucas. Apple did not want to be left behind and took the opportunity to publish on its YouTube channel a commercial about a fan who uses the precise tracking function to find his friends at a convention. Lucasfilm received more than 300 submissions for the announcement, with a total of 172 fans involved in the production, the largest number ever recorded for a project approved by the company. For Owen, it was an experience to remember.

Precise Tracking is only available for iPhone 15 and iOS 17.

During the Apple Wondelust event in 2023, the vehicle assistance function was presented, thus joining two other existing services. This, unlike Emergency SOS and Find My satellite location, It is designed specifically for vehicular emergencies in situations where Wi-Fi or mobile data are not available.
Apple has indicated that the information provided by users will make it easier for an insurer, in this case, “AAA” (a US company), to obtain more details about the incident and deploy assistance where needed.
Although the AAA service is offered as part of an already active membership for Apple users, non-members also have the option to use the service, paying independently.
