In the last few hours, through his social networks, Daniel Gómez Rinaldi confirmed that he is going through one of the worst moments of his life. He is hospitalized and his health is in danger.
“After seven days I can tell you how bad it was for me with dengue. On Friday I withdrew from What a Morning because I didn’t feel well. Since I had caught cold on Thursday I thought it was the flu,” he began.
“However, the pain that I began to feel on Friday increased and on Saturday I went to Medicus to be treated. ‘You all have symptoms of dengue,’ the doctor told me. Those days and the following were terrible. The muscle and joint pain that I went through were the strongest I have ever had in my life,” added Daniel.
And he added: “Only those who have been through it know that the pain does not allow you to move and that all you want is to be in bed even if everything continues. Days and nights with fever. Neither blankets nor heat packs could stop the cold “Sweating and changing clothes. But the pain continued.”
“Getting up to brush my teeth was an odyssey. Impossible to stand up completely. On Monday I returned to Medicus. New tests. And on Tuesday, the confirmation: Dengue Positive. The muscles and joints harden or atrophy. There is no position in bed in which you feel better,” he said.
“The shoulder blades, the arms, the legs hurt. You feel a physical exhaustion that at some point the fatigue overcomes you and you doze off. Your head wants to give orders like drinking a sip of water but the pain and discomfort are so superior that the only thing you can do is What you end up doing is turning your body looking for another position in bed. You don’t have an appetite,” he said.
“You reject water and you are not interested in looking at your cell phone. However, the doctor ordered me: ‘You have to eat to take the paracetamol and drink a lot of water.’ Each patient goes through it in a different way. These days I heard stories of people with fever for seven days. Patients with rush or redness throughout the body,” noted Gómez Rinaldi.
