The Music Festivalorganized by the French Alliance of Lima in collaboration with the France embassy, municipalities and cultural centers, returns to our country from June 18 to 28. On this occasion, it will have more than 25 stages in various parts of the city and more than 50 bands that will offer free performances of different musical genres.

The public will be able to enjoy these exhibitions in places such as the Inca Garcilaso Cultural Centerhe Happiness Park in San Borja and the Lima Art Museum (MALI). In addition, emerging bands and soloists will perform, as well as projects such as Municipal Choir of San Borja and DJ sets by local artists.

The central concert will take place at the Miraflores Oval on Saturday, June 22 from 4 p.m. The French singer Carine Achard will be present to delight the audience with her melodious voice. In addition, Olaya will participate Sound System, known for their mix of Peruvian-Andean cumbia, reggae and chicha, as well as Plastical People with their psychedelic indie pop. Other featured artists include Super Simio, Killary, Rosa Guzmán and Radical Mood.

Among other activities, the “Street Art Program” in the Santa Rosa passage in downtown Lima, where talented musicians will present a tour of various Peruvian rhythms. Among the protagonists, Armando Vértiz stands out with the best of rock in Spanish and the Super Shipibos of Cantagallowhich represent the rich heritage of the Shipibo-Konibo people of the Peruvian Amazon.

Symphony for Peru, led by the renowned tenor Juan Diego Florez, will also be part of the event with three special presentations. These include “Party for Inclusion – Percussion Ensemble of the Special Education Program” at the Teatro de la Alianza Francesa in Lima, “Film Music – Classics of Children’s Cinema” at the Manuel Ascencio Segura theater and “Harmonía entre Cuerdas” at the Museum of Archeology, Anthropology and History of Peru.
