As they had announced from the Vatican, The Pope met this Friday with comedians from all over the world to promote “a message of peace, love and solidarity.” Among the artists, the presence of Argentina stood out Malena Guinzburg.
At 8:30 local time, Francisco received all the summoned artists, among them, personalities such as Jimmy Fallon, Stephen Colbert, Conan O’Brien, Chris Rock and Whoopi Goldberg.
Thus, each one had a personal moment in order to give him a gift and exchange a few words with the Supreme Pontiff. When his turn came, Jorge Guinzburg’s daughter approached his Holiness and gave him alfajores.
Through her social networks, the comedian shared a video of what the hand in hand with Francisco was like. “I brought you some alfajores because you must miss them a little. These are new, with salt, and these are normal, because you can’t eat with salt,” he told her about the product from a well-known Argentine brand.
“Can I eat both?“the Pope asked him, laughing. “Yes, don’t invite them to anyone,” Malena responded.
When asked about a message for Argentina, Francisco responded: “Let them defend the nobility of the country“.
