Last Thursday I was doing the live program, obviously, and they brought me a lot of advertisements, the PNT (non-traditional advertising). They bring them to me with cardboard that I read. Then, the actress recounted the moment she realized the mistake she had made: “When I finish reading it I realize that I didn’t have to do that advertising because ideologically I don’t agree at allbecause I am a protectionist and always I am in favor of the care and freedom of animals”. The people from Proyecto Galgo, where I am also in favor of the liberation of greyhounds, wrote to me so that you could adopt one. Finally, while her dogs were barking in the background, Georgina reflected: “I apologize because otherwise my speech is ambiguous and I try to be the most coherent person possible. Sorry, I was wrong, I read it. I should have read it before, but that was not my mistake. In the whirlwind of a live program one reads things and sometimes says things and exudes snot, like this case, for example. I apologize, I am not in favor of Mundo Marino, I am not in favor of the horror they do with animals, so I wanted to make this clear. Thank you so much”.

In November 2023, the proposed #KshamenkLaw reached Congress. It was presented in the Lower House with a large group of people and a box containing more than 690 thousand signatures so that the request becomes a national standard. “Keeping an animal captive is ethically unacceptable,” said Judge Elena Liberatori, who is a party to the claim.

The proposal, which seeks to turn into law the prohibition of shows with wild marine animals in Argentina, receives its name from the orca Kshamenk, a male that lives confined in the pools of the San Clemente del Tuyú aquarium. It is one of the two largest oceanariums in the country and considered tourist attractions on the Atlantic Coast. For this reason, and protected by what has been happening for a few years with terrestrial animals in zoos, a group made up of animal law experts, protectionists and legislators presented the bill.
