It is a proposal that perhaps you have not heard from another artist, and that is precisely what we were looking for, taking a risk for a new sound, a different proposal. Something innovative, but always rescuing my rootsmy identity, highlighting the Peruvian culture, the country where I come from, and of which I feel extremely proud,” she added.

What’s behind the adult version of Wendy?

The lyrics of the songs of “Mírame como soy” oscillate between inclusion, perseverance and love. Regarding the inspiration behind these, Wendy Sulca pointed out that “As the album says, ‘Look at me as I am’, it’s literally that, getting to know myself a little morewhat is beyond the singer, what is beyond that character that everyone met on the internet.”

“What is behind the current Wendy, the adult Wendy, who makes her own decisions, who sings what she wants to convey, her senses, her regrets. “All the songs are very personal, some more than others, but they are all inspired by my life itself, by what I have been through, by what I want to convey, by the message I want to give,” he added.

“For example, ‘Accelerar’ speaks precisely about the pressures that one carries as an artist, both from fans and from your family, of wanting to rush stages. That they tell you: ‘now and what comes after this? What else is next?’ And always looking for perfection, that everything is through acceleration, as he says. The message of this song is to go at your own pace. Not by accelerating the process is it going to be said to be better, but rather everyone lives their own process, everyone lives at their own time and at their own pace, and that’s okay,” Wendy Sulca reflected.
