In the world of music, there are artists whose roots are nourished by family legacies; and that is the case of ‘Pelo’ Madueño, Whoever knew from a young age that his life would be marked by chords, lyrics and emotions. Not for nothing did he start his career at the age of 16 with the underground rock band Narcosis, composed of Wicho García and Fernando ‘Cachorro’ Vial. The Fronterizo interpreter is the son of Jorge Madueño, a renowned Peruvian composer who died in 2023.

“I learned about music through boleros, waltzes, Chabuca Granda and, above all, through the works of my parents, songs worked with poetry. Of everything that surrounded a little of the childhood of my brothers, of my family. We grew up with that vibration of my father’s musical life, and that is something that has always been present in me,” said Madueño in an interview with Infobae Peru.

The admiration was, is and will continue to be great. This was demonstrated by the singer when he said goodbye to his father after his sensitive death.

Teacher of many, friend of so many, father of some… like me. Thank you for every father, for the love, the passion, the integrity of this job, the talent and genius that remains in your children. And also in your students who take you to a very special place. You were unique and we honor you. I stay here dreaming of you,” the artist wrote on his social network.
